  • To respond promptly to all customers requests in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • To strive to constantly achieve operating standards.
  • To understand and utilize all administrative practices and systems as appropriate.

  • To provide on-going house maintenance under the direction of the Chief Mechanic.

  • To highlight any training needs to Chief Mechanic as necessary.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, creative, energetic, sales orientated individual with high standards and attention to detail, to take on the role of Centre Manager to manage and develop our Family Entertainment Centre (FEC) in Wokingham, Berkshire.

 

The Wokingham Superbowl is part of one of the UK’s foremost Family Entertainment Companies offering Ten Pin bowling, Laser Quest, American Pool, Amusements, a Cafe and a licensed bar. The hosting of Children’s birthday parties, Corporate Groups and Bowling Leagues are key segments of this thriving business.

 

The successful candidate is likely to already have held a Centre or General Management role in a successful FEC or Bowl or perhaps in a contemporary volume restaurant, hospitality venue, other comparable leisure environment, or be a high achieving Deputy ready for progression. If not already from the Bowling sector, He/she must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding and enthusiasm for the core activities of 10 pin bowling and Laser Quest, have great energy, a desire to market and drive sales, great standards and attention to detail and the ability to manage and motivate a predominantly young and part-time team.

 

The ability to keep a variety of plates spinning in a ‘multi-disciplined’ environment, lead from the front and by example, set and maintain high standards, as well as having strong attention to detail, good financial acumen and excellent motivational skills together with possessing an obsession for safety and statutory compliance in all areas of Licensing, Food Safety, Fire Safety and general Health and Safety are essential attributes for this role.

 

Only candidates living within 30 minutes travel time from Wokingham, and eligible to live and work in the UK should apply. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, self-motivated, proactive, well organised and ‘hands-on’ Group Bowling Technician.

 

As Group Bowling Technician it will be your responsibility to oversee the maintenance of the Company’s ten pin bowling facilities (Pinsetters, Lanes and Front of House installations) across our 4 Family Entertainment Centres at King’s Lynn (14 lanes), Ely (12 lanes), East Dereham (10 lanes) and Sudbury-Suffolk (10 lanes).

 

The successful candidate must have a detailed knowledge and experience of Brunswick GS98 and GSX pinsetters, frameworks scoring and have risen to the level of Head Technician in a previous role. You’ll also need to be both a first-class technician in your own right, be able to ensure PPM is diligently implemented at all sites, have excellent administrative and organizational skills and be a strong man-manager. Additional experience on AMF 82/90’s and Steltronic scoring would also be a distinct advantage.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to be based within 40 minutes drive time of any of our Centres and be prepared to support the operations ‘out of hours’ as and when needed, including on-site support for ‘business critical breakdowns. He/she will need to supply their own transport with mileage re-imbursed for business use.
